The Lithium Rush is On info
The lithium-ion battery found in lap tops and smart phones has replaced the
prevous batteries because of its density, storage capacity, rechargability and its great
range of sizes and uses. Lithium-ion batteries are found in devices as small as
hearing aids to large trucks. The coming demand for electric vehicles will increase
the need for lithium. The lithium used in an electrical vehicle is equal to the amount
of lithium in thousands of smart phones. Therefore the lithium rush is on to find and
mine lithium.
Lithium is found in salt brines and as an ore. The largest salt brines are in
the lithium triangle in Chili, Argentina, and Bolivia. The largest ore deposits are in
Australia. China has declared that they want to control the lithium market. China has
investments in Chili, Australia, Africa, Europe and have the fourth largest reserves
are in China.
This highly informative book tells what a lithium-ion battery is, its pro and
cons, its uses, where it is found and the worldwide rush to find and mine lithium.
The book is currently available in paperback online at Amazon and at Barnes and Noble. |

With the increase of technology for classroom assignments and interaction, the ability for students to interact in an effective classroom discussion is becoming lost. The book is intended for classroom teachers to improve classroom discussions. Teachers are shown how to phrase good discussion questions, lead discussions, involve all students and develop an accurate assessment of student understanding of major concepts. A major devise for probing understanding is Socrates's use of regressive questioning.
